SERVE OTHERS
Did you know there are people going without food right here in Smith County. Each month we distribute food to residents of Smith County including low income senior adults and families in urgent need.. Our Smith County Baptist churches provide this service at no cost to the recipients. Distributions are the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays, 7:30-10 am.
HELP OTHERS
Many of our Smith County Baptist churches give to support this ministry. If your church is not currently providing financial support for this ministry, please consider the food pantry through your annual budget, or a one-time gift. You can also volunteer on distribution days.
WHO WE ARE
We are Southern Baptists and agree with the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000. We also believe in the autonomy of the local church. The Smith County Baptist Association has no authority over any of our churches.
Our Beliefs
We believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that all have sinned and need salvation that is only found through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We also believe in the physical return of Jesus in the future.
OUR MISSIONS
The Smith County Baptist Association’s mission is to assist our churches in their efforts to spread the gospel throughout the world. Our county, state, nation and world are our mission fields.
OUR GOAL
We need healthy churches to fulfill our mission obligations. We work together, strategically, to pray, train, equip and implement strategies that produce healthy churches.
THE GOSPEL
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16" What does that mean for you? What is eternal life? How do I receive eternal life? Is it free?
